For your peace of mind we offer insurance or damage limitation with all our vehicles included in our hire price. Our trackday 'after support' means that if the unthinkable happens, you will avoid paying for a total loss and the costs passed over to you by The Real Gran Turismo LTD will be limited to the 'excess' or actual damage costs. As with the rest of our service, we take care of all elements of the repair and you don't have to do anything else once the invoiced amount has been paid.

Any activation of any insurance claim will activate an 'excess' payment, be it for health, home or motor insurance. When applied to our trackday car hire service, this will create a safety net for you so you know the maximum you may be liable for. For example, if you damage our property to the sum of £25,000, and your 'excess' is limited to £10k, you will only pay the first £10k and The Real Gran Turismo LTD is responsible for covering the remaining £15k damage.

 

When you sign our participation waiver at the start of the day you agree to our terms, and your agreement of remuneration is direct with us, The Real Gran Turismo LTD. We, in turn, then go ahead and arrange repairs to the damaged vehicle with our mechanical and bodywork specialist partners.

We will have set figures for your limited damage arrangement which we can advise upon booking your event or any time during your day with us. These can range up to £10k (vehicle dependant). Don't worry however, we understand that the damage caused may not amount to the total excess of your vehicle. In that case, we supply quotations from our independent repairers for your 100% clarity on damage costs, and what you will pay.

On the day of your event, you may be asked to pay the total 'excess' fee prior to leaving the venue, and be then reimbursed if the total invoice for repairs is less than the 'excess' paid. Participation on our events is based on the understanding you are happy to take responsibility of our property throughout the day and you will pay our invoice for total damage incurred within 4 weeks.

We reserve the right to self insure and/or use any third party insurance products we feel are neccessary, where we limit client indemnity as outlined above to provide the best service. Where self insurance takes place there will be no difference to the implied indemnity or service to the end user and your liability is the same. This has no bearing or implication on our public liability insurance. Moreover, a claim via our trackday service and after support has no bearing on your own personal insurance claims history, and in no way affects your own road car insurance policies and does not need to be declared to your own personal insurers.

2024 indicative 'excess' payments may be invoiced by The Real Gran Turiso LTD at the following amounts and are correct at time of print as of Jan 31st 2024:

Mazda MX5 - £2,500*

Renaultsport Clio - £2,500*

Caterham 7 - £4,000*

Ariel Atom 3 - £7,000 - £10,000*

Porsche Cayman RGT400 - £7,000 - £10,000*

BMW M2 Competition - £7,000 - £10,000*
